Rev. Dennis McNally, SJ, Ph.D.

I paint from dreams and prayer experience. My work is large, installation-size (mostly 6'-4'). They chronicle a half century of trying to discern God in All Things: eucharist, Buddhism, 9-11, the subjugation of slaves, political cruelty, the hope for creation, Christ embedded in human suffering, the interior connection with a "still, small, voice," landscapes, skyscapes, and universe images from NASA photos. I have taught thousands of students in high school and university, and have been at St. Joseph's University almost half a century. Still teaching full time, I do direction, sacraments for those who ask, and have written books on priesthood, art for church, and the history of the liturgical environment (architectural history).
